Someone backed into me is this fixable?

I was about to back into a parking spot when another car pulled out without checking and crashed into my passenger side rear quarter panel. The paint protection film took most of the impact, but the panel is still crumpled, and the wheel was also hit. Now, I hear a rattling and squeaking sound behind my driver side. Is this something that can be fixed, especially the noise? Could the noise be caused by frame damage? The car still drives fine, but I’m concerned about the reduced value and higher insurance rates, even though I’m not at fault.

It’s not a question of is it fixable. It is.

The question is how much.

If your description of events is accurate, the other guy’s insurance should pay, and it should not affect your rates.

Couple thousand.

It’s super fixable. These cars get dented, gouged, banged and bumped all the time. Good body shop can replace the panel and paint, you’ll be good as new.

It can in Texas at least. My insurance went up a while back outside of the norm these days. I had a recent no fault on my record from 3 years ago.

The rear quarter panels are the largest piece of sheet metal on the car. They’ll have to cut the old one off, weld in a new one. That’s 22 hours labor for a 2019. All told, with paint and some bumper damage on my 2019, it was $5K. Dealer and a really good body shop both gave me a quote within $100 of each other.

Noooo… sorry this happened.

They can pop it out and repaint the whole fender also the door gonna have to be blended it’s gonna be i say 800-1400 usd to fix that

What about this damn rattling I now have on rough roads behind my driver seat? Could she have messed up some panel alignment on the other side, frame damage?

Throw the car away. Of course it’s fixable. Go get a quote to see how much it will cost. Many methods for repair, from paintless dent removal to full quarter panel replacement.

oh that’s done for…rough estimate 30k, but i’ll take it off ur hands i know nobody would wanna pay that much i’ll give ya 3k for the title/car/ and ur time😂

Totaled, take it to the scrap yard.

In fact, I will take it to the scrapyard for you. Make sure I have the title first
