It’s finally happening!

Not quite! It’s also in the control center, letting you lock or unlock the car directly. You can even configure it to lock or unlock with a button press.

@Finnegan
I updated my app and iOS, but I don’t see that option. Did you have to enable it somewhere?

Here’s a screenshot to help!

@Finnegan
Found it under controls! My bad, didn’t realize that was an option. Still new to the action button thing.

No worries! It’s a small but handy feature. Now, when my phone doesn’t auto-unlock the car and I’ve got my kid in my arms, I can just use the action button without juggling my phone. It’s the little wins! :wink:

Is this available for my 2024? And how do I find the widget?

It’s an iOS app update. I’m in the iOS 18.2 beta, so it might only be available for that version.

@Finnegan
It’s available on 18.1 too! Just updated and now have widgets, watch complications, and control center options.

I’m confused. You can only set the button to either lock or unlock, not both?

Yeah, would love more options like single press to unlock and double press to lock. But I have auto-lock when I walk away, so unlocking is good enough. Also, you can set up a Siri shortcut to lock/unlock, so I just say, ‘Hey Siri, unlock the car’ when my hands are full.

Haha, sounds like an iPhone 17 feature!

Is there any word on this coming to Android?

It’s good, but they need better multi-vehicle support. Each vehicle should have separate lock/unlock options so I know which one I’m controlling.

How do you do the trailer light check?

That’s not for the Mach-E. FordPass works with all Ford vehicles, so some features are for different models. I used it with my Escape before getting the Mach-E.

Is anyone else worried that the widget constantly pulling info might drain the 12V battery? I’ll let you all test it out first. :joy:

Haha, no worries! It just pulls the same data your app does if you have background refresh on. Won’t drain the 12V, but it will use up your iPhone battery faster.

So… will the iOS app finally have dark mode?

It’s not working for me.

Cool update, but my car just stopped transmitting data, so now FordPass doesn’t work at all for me.
