I paid $21k for my 2011 in 2015 with 45k miles. It’s relevant here. You could ask for a warranty or ask them to bring it down to $22k out the door.

That’s the one!
Man, that sticker price is crazy. I bought a 2015 GT Premium PP new in July 2016 for $40k OTD with 0% financing for 60 months. Mine was a manual, and Magna-Ride wasn’t an option yet. I had every option except the highest stereo and auto. My taxes and fees barely added up to the base price of a 2018 GT Premium. Crazy!
This isn’t high mileage… it’s more like mid-mileage. Mine has 70k miles and drives like new.
Sweet!
Personally, I wouldn’t do it.

Is there any particular reason why you wouldn’t? Or is it just because of the mileage?

Just the mileage. I’d rather spend a couple grand more for a car with fewer miles.
I’d suggest looking for a manual transmission.
Yes, it’s a 10-speed with adaptive cruise, active exhaust, and Magna-Ride. Definitely the best combination for a daily driver.
Is this a good price and mileage for a Mustang? I’ve been looking into them too.
I saw a 2018 GT convertible with 67k miles for $23k. I got my 2019 GT convertible 401A with 82k miles for $21k. It was listed for $23k, and I negotiated it to $24k OTD. You could ask them to lower the price or include the warranty for the asking price. The 10r80 transmission is tricky, so it’s better to be covered. You can buy a powertrain warranty for 4 years/40k miles for $1k by yourself.
My 2004 GT with a 4.6 ragtop has 78,000 miles on it. Still runs great!
I have a dark gray '18, equipped the same except for mine is a 6 speed without the magneride. Has 105k miles, full exhaust and headers, springs and shocks, paid $21k early in 2024.
@Sai
How many miles have you put on it since you bought it?

About 7k.
I like it. Maybe consider asking for a 2-year extended warranty to cover the mileage. If it’s made it to 96k miles without issues, it could go for another 96k easily. But I’d keep an eye on the maintenance. My AC compressor went out at around 100k miles and cost me $2k, but that’s just part of owning a car. $23k sounds fair to me.
100k miles is hardly ‘high’ mileage these days. Engines are built to last much longer, especially with proper maintenance.
96k miles on a Toyota Camry or Subaru Outback wouldn’t be a big deal. But with Mustangs, people drive them hard. 96k miles on a Mustang is like 130k miles on something else. You’ve got to consider how often the previous owner changed things like engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, and more. I bought a Subaru Legacy with 175k miles, but it was obvious it was well maintained and had mostly highway miles. Highway driving is a lot easier on a car than city or track driving.
