Can Android Auto Voice Commands Control Car Cabin Settings?

Hi all. Can Android Auto voice commands adjust cabin settings? A friend’s electric XC40 allows voice commands for things like temperature control, and I was impressed. Does the Mach-E have similar functionality?

Edit: Thanks for clarifying! Apparently, ‘OK Ford’ activates it!

The car’s built-in system handles cabin commands. With CarPlay, a long press activates Siri, but a short press triggers the car’s voice commands.

Just say ‘OK Ford, set temp to 58,’ and it’s done.

Wow, three years of ownership, and I didn’t know this. Thanks for the insight!

You can’t tell Google to adjust the cabin, but the car’s system can handle it. Personally, I prefer using a button, but the voice option is there.

You don’t need to press a button. Just say ‘OK Ford,’ and it listens.

@Mikel
True, but I still prefer buttons for that kind of thing.

I thought Android Auto hijacked the system when enabled, but it’s good to know you can use both Ford and Google voice commands.

@Wray
Yep, you can use both!
