Yep, painter’s tape works well. Just make sure to clean the front end first!
@Tali
Works like a charm.
Here’s my setup from last event – still trying to dial it in just right.

I went to a driving school where you bring your own car. Was amazing to learn slide control and handling. They even taught me heel-toe shifting!
Sounds awesome. That’s driver school, not Autocross, but still a great way to get better.
My parents gifted me a 2014 GT when I graduated high school. I started doing Autocross for fun, and the older folks in the club taught me a lot – not just about driving but life too. Highly recommend checking out your local club!
@Taj
Wish I had parents like that! Can I join the fam at 35?
Took my GT350 out for Autocross, spun out on the fourth turn with TC off! Nissan Leaf beat me that day. Highly recommend the experience.

How was the body roll on that beast?
Loved pushing the limits on the course last weekend. Learned a lot!
Track days are awesome, but Autocross is way cheaper. No matter what, just don’t be the guy doing dumb stuff on public roads.

I’ll take both, because why not!

Only if it’s totally empty, no one around, I might let loose a little on the road…
I have a Bullitt and an NC Miata. Which one should I bring to Autocross first?

Both! You’ll learn something different from each. The NC is easy to learn on, but the Bullitt will make you better in the long run.
Got a PP2 setup ready to go, but for now, just hitting the sim rig until I can make it to VIR.

Sim racing is a great way to prep! My buddy dominated his first track day after tons of practice on the sim.
The biggest mistake is flooring it from a standstill. Tires spin, and you lose power to the ground. Easy way to lose control.
I run my 2003 Mustang GT (supercharged and ready for Autocross) with the Tarheel Sports Car Club. Such a blast!

Nice! I think I’ve seen your car out there! Awesome driving.
@Indigo
You might know me then! I’m the one in the loud gray ’03 with the tats!
