I’ve owned several cars, but there’s no better value than this one. I recently picked up a 2011 model with only 46,000 miles on it, and it’s in pristine condition. I just finished a one-step paint correction and applied a ceramic coating. The Coyote platform delivers incredible performance for the price. Here’s a list of the ones I’ve had so far. Right now, I own a Kona Blue, and I think this one’s a keeper.
I want a 2023 interior, a 2014 rear, and a 2012 front end.
I really love the analog cluster from 2011. Guess I’m a bit old-fashioned.
The digital dashboard in the 2018-23 models is incredible to me. I love being able to customize it with various gauges and colors.
Same here, I could never give up the old-school turnkey either.
I really dislike push-button starting.
2011-2012 all the way.
Yeah, I feel the same way. I’m not a fan of the hood and grille design on the 2013-2014 models. That’s also why I prefer the ’67 Shelby Mustangs over the ’68s. I’m really hoping the next redesign takes more inspiration from the refreshed S197s rather than the S550s or S650s.
Seriously. There’s so much about the '13-'14 models that bugs me. Fingers crossed, though. It would be incredible to see those body lines make a comeback and create a true modern-day muscle car.
2011 is the greatest year.
My first and only Mustang is a 2018, and I love its aggressive front design. I almost snagged a beautiful 2010 model, but the dealership sold it to someone else because they offered more after we had already agreed on a down payment. The wait to finalize the deal cost me. I think the S650 looks pretty awesome, too. Even though mine is just an EcoBoost, it still packs a punch and performs great for me. I really love my Eco Mustang.
The prevailing opinion is that the years 2010-2012, along with the 2013/2014 tail lights, are significant.
S197s are likely to become very valuable in the near future.
I just ordered a set from AmericanMuscle. It completely transforms the car’s appearance.
The rims on the 2013 look great. I want to get some GT500-style rims for my 2014.
Those were my favorites too. I got them for $300 and had them powder-coated for $150.
Dude, I’ve been searching for new rims when I could have just powder-coated the ones I have. Major facepalm moment. Thanks for the suggestion, man.
I always aim to find a nice set that’s slightly worn and then have them refurbished. It helps me save some money.
What prompted you to switch from the 2021 model to the 2011?
I really appreciate the solid rear axle and prefer the styling of the S197 over the S550. I liked my S550 as well, but when I had the chance to grab this one for $20,000, it was an obvious choice for me. The front of my S550 always reminded me of a Ford Fusion.
