Looking to run 315 tires. What wheel size are you guys using for them? Any suggestions or things I should keep in mind?
I’m using 325s on 19x11s, no issues here.
Oh, my time to shine! I’ve got a square 18x10.5 setup with 285/35r18 tires, +25 offset in the front and +35 in the rear. An 18x11 or 19x11 square setup should fit 315s fine, but finding the right camber and offset for the front is key to avoid rubbing. Coilovers help since they don’t have as thick strut bodies as stock. Stick with a square setup so you can rotate tires; plus, these cars are front-heavy and really benefit from wider tires up front. Not all 315s are the same width, so some will fit better than others. Apex has a guide if you’re interested in their wheels. Hope this helps!
@Abi
I’m running 305/30R19 on 10.5” wide wheels with just under 2 degrees camber. It has a slight poke but doesn’t look too crazy. For 315s on an 11” wide wheel, you’d probably need around 3 degrees of camber to keep them tucked.
315s fit great on my PP2’s 11” wide rear wheels. Have you taken any cars to the track before?

I’m running 315s on my PP2 rear wheels too! I wanted 305s, but they were out of stock, so I went up to 315.

The question feels a bit random here, lol. Just curious, why ask about track experience?
@Felix
Genuine question! OP seems ready to spend on a full suspension setup, so I was going to suggest spending that money on track time first if they’re new to it. I’ve seen stock PP1s out there crushing it while I struggle to keep up with my upgraded setup.
@Armani
Couldn’t agree more! Track time and a helmet are a better first investment than all-out suspension mods, unless OP already has track experience.
20x11.5 or 12 might be the way to go.

No need to go that wide for a 315; 11 is plenty!
I’ve got Project 6GR 7 wheels with 325s on 11” rims. The grip is amazing. Switched from PP1 wheels on the same tire (Michelin PS4S), and it launches way better now.

And they are ridiculously cool.
@Brett
Those rears look mean!
My sister’s 2023 Mach 1 and my 2024 Dark Horse both have 305s in the front and 315s in the rear with handling packages. The Mach 1 rims cost around $1,700 but look amazing.

Love it! What’s the setup? I’d like those wheels for my ‘16 GT.

For the Mach 1, it’s Ford part M-1007-DC19105MB (19x10.5 front) and M-1007-DC1911MB (19x11 rear), both in matte black. You can get the whole kit as M-1007K-DC19XMB.
@Voss
Nice pic!
