I’ve had my 2022 5.0 for two months now, and everything is still stock. I’m open to suggestions—what mods should I do first?
The first mods I did were an aftermarket exhaust and window tint. Haven’t done anything else yet.

Same here, exhaust and tint were my first two mods.
If you have active exhaust, I’d keep the stock exhaust—it’s one of the best setups. I’d recommend adding an X-pipe, an intake, and getting a tune for E85 from Lund or Palm Beach. It’ll really wake the car up. Just be careful if you go for more extreme mods like cat deletes. Active exhaust is hard to beat.
@Dante
I’m thinking about getting long tube headers and an X-pipe with cats. I have active exhaust and don’t want to replace it since it’s already good. Do you think this is a solid setup?

Sounds like a great plan. Make sure to get a good tune, and you’ll have a blast. When you’re ready for more, you can add cams for even more fun.
@Dante
I don’t think cams are worth it unless you’re going for crazy horsepower. The stock cams are aggressive enough, and with TI-VCT, they’re already really efficient. If I were going all-in, I’d prioritize things like a cold air intake, boost, throttle body, and headers before even thinking about cams.
@Raine
People underestimate cams, but they make a big difference. I’ve gone up against some serious cars with ease thanks to my setup.

What’s your setup like?

Full bolt-ons: headers, intake, X-pipe, cams, and a Lund tune.
@Dante
Have you dynoed it? How much power are you putting down, and where’d you get your cams?

Haven’t dynoed yet. I’m still street tuning but plan to hit the dyno once I add a supercharger.
@Dante
People always ask me about my OEM active exhaust. I love it—definitely worth keeping.
One of the first things I did was install hood struts. Super practical mod.

I like this idea. Simple but useful.
A cold air intake is always a fun and beginner-friendly mod to install.

Just make sure to tune it afterward, or it won’t make much difference.
Exhaust mods are always a good place to start. My favorites are the Borla S-Type and the Corsa Extreme.

I’m leaning toward the Borla Extreme. My neighbors probably won’t love it, but I will!
Go for a Roush exhaust!
