I just went and bought one of my favorite Mustangs. I know many of you aren’t fans of these cars, but with some effort, I hope to have her back on the road soon.
That’s definitely really sweet.
What great potential. Wishing you the best of luck.
Absolutely. What an incredible find. I’m so envious. My first car was a '78 II, and it was orange.
ORANGE, can you believe it? An Orange II; definitely a head-turner.
…too bad it was a total piece of junk, but I loved it nonetheless. I really wish I could have that quirky little hatchback back. If only I knew then what I know now…
Enjoy getting that beauty back on the road.
It seems like a great find. I would really appreciate seeing some additional pictures.
I’ll definitely be posting photos more consistently on here.
Absolutely, man. Congrats on the new project.
Cobra IIs are undoubtedly among the best-looking Mustangs.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way.
Absolutely, man. Don’t let anyone get to you. I’ve gotten so much flak for owning this car, but the feeling I get cruising at 2 a.m. on summer nights, windows down, blasting Elvis; that’s unbeatable. It’s better than any 600-hp beast I’ve driven. I love it, and that’s all that matters.
It looks incredibly straight.
That’s pretty cool. I saw your first post, and that’s about as complete as you’ll find for one that hasn’t already been restored. Great purchase.
Definitely underrated, which makes it even more intriguing because of its rarity. I think it looks really cool; congrats.
Make sure it has a lot more power than the stock version because they were slower than they were unattractive, and that’s saying something.
That being said, I’m starting to warm up to the looks. While I still wouldn’t buy one, I think they look cooler now than I remember.
The plastic wonder has always held a special place in my heart. I’d love to get my hands on a King Cobra II, especially with its even more flamboyant plastic components.
