Funny you mention that… there was a silver five-spoke option for the GT Performance Package. I would’ve gone with those if I’d ordered the car myself.

Try this old trick: glaze them with a thin coat of Country Crock butter. It’ll repel brake dust like a charm. My dad showed me, and his dad showed him. Thank me later.

Get a pressure washer if you haven’t already. It’s a game changer for cleaning brake dust off these wheels. I use a Turtle Wax Seal and Shine combo to keep the dust from sticking as much. Makes maintenance a lot easier.

Agreed. Make sure you use a washer with at least 2500 psi. Anything less won’t be as effective.

600 psi is probably too low. I’d recommend going with something around 1800-2500 psi for wheels.

These wheels tend to leak after a few years, just a heads up. I swapped mine for some aftermarket ones that fit the car well.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of black wheels. They look dirty so fast, especially with Brembos. I sold mine right after I bought the car.

Thanks for all the advice! I’m planning to take the wheels off next time for a thorough clean and ceramic coat. I think there was another set of 19-inch wheels that came with the GT Performance Package in 2023. Were those what you guys mean by PP2?

PP2 was from around 2018 and came with forged wheels, MagneRide, and other upgrades. The wheels are definitely easier to clean.

Got it. I think the GT Performance Pack I have is a bit different from that. There weren’t as many options for 2023.

I have these wheels too, and yeah, they’re a pain to clean. But I love how they look on my car.
