Is this a good deal for my first Mustang?

I loved my V6. Just make sure to check for any leaks around the water pump.

That’s solid advice. My V6’s water pump went bad about 4 months after I bought it, but after replacing it, I didn’t have any more problems.

Yep, the water pump (and thermostat) on my V6 went bad too. The Gen 5 Mustangs are kind of known for having water pump issues.

Too many people here are financing GTs they can’t really afford. Get what you can afford, and you can always upgrade later. Don’t listen to all the finance experts still living at home.

The V6 is awesome as a daily driver. With 300hp, it’s fun without being too much for regular driving. Judging by the wheels, it looks like it might have the performance package too. If everything checks out, it sounds like a solid deal to me.

Listen, man. V8s are fun, but the V6 Mustangs are rock solid. There are V6s out there with 400,000 miles on them. Mine’s at 250k and still going strong. Great budget daily and way cooler than a Corolla.

I had a 2016 V6 for 4 years before I upgraded. Got it right before I turned 19. It’s a fun car, good on gas, and won’t kill you on maintenance or insurance. If you can afford it, I say go for it.

Don’t let the ‘get a V8’ crowd get to you. On this forum, it’s either a V8 or nothing. But if you like the V6 and can afford it, go for it. Full send.

A coworker showed me a deal like this, but I’ve always wanted my first Mustang to be a V8. That said, is it weird that I actually like how the V6s look better?

V6s are great. I have one, and it’s got enough power to have fun but not so much to get you into trouble. Reliable, sporty, and fun. As long as it checks out, go for it.

Good deal, but you should just buy a V8.

I’d love to, but I can’t afford one right now. I need a car now, so I’m thinking of getting this and upgrading to a V8 in a year. I like the 2015 models more anyway.

@Tali
If you like it, it runs well, and everything checks out, just buy it. Don’t overthink it.

@Tali
If you’re planning to upgrade soon, you might want to go straight for a V8 instead of spending more later. That said, the V6 is super reliable and plenty fun. 300hp will keep you smiling for a couple of years, but you might still find yourself wanting that raw V8 power. Either way, it’s your call.

@Tali
Don’t waste money on a car you’re planning to swap out in a year. If you want a V8 later, just get a cheap beater for now.

That’s dumb. I bought a V6 because I couldn’t wait, and I’m happy with it.

Bro, calm down. No need to be rude.

While I get the love for the V8, the V6, especially the S197s, is a great car.

Not everyone can afford a V8. It’s pretty clear who grew up rich around here.
