Is this 24K upgrade for my 24GT worth it or just a waste?

Any pros and cons with the spec 3? What about resale value? Etc

lol absolutely not. Just get a whipple or twin turbo kit for 10k and have someone install/tune it. The RTR packages are trash.

So where are the twin turbo kits for the 2024?

I mean Whipple is already 10k, so I’m getting a spec 2 for 14k, I don’t get the hate about them, help me understand, cause I feel like this is a good deal

@Whitney
What does an extra 14k get you? You can literally put a whipple and a tire on a '24 and run 9’s. What is all the other BS for? The RTR isn’t a real package. It’s like the FX4 dealers put on F150s. Overpriced junk you can do cheaper yourself. The RTR package is just a way to get people to waste money. *edit - 20 of the items on the build list are just visual mods that don’t matter at all.

@Anthony
It’s not like the FX4 package at all

@Anthony
A little extra airflow/aerodynamics and downforce (definitely need better airflow cause the 10-speed heats up so fast on tracks), tires (stock 255s are too small), swaybars, struts, shocks etc., all for quicker lap times. I go to the track like once a month, also looks cooler IMO

@Whitney
My Mach 1 has bigger tires than the RTR spec 3. That’s funny. I did my whipple, installed with OPG and Crank Sprocket, and custom tune for under $10k.

@Whitney
Nope. Waste. If you like the look, go for it. But you can get a VMP Whipple and a vacation to Florida for 10k.

It comes with a whipple, I like the looks, but I think it will give better lap times too. Also, funny enough, I live in Florida :joy:

@Whitney
Honestly, I would go for it man. If you can afford it and the price works for what you want, then by all means.

I’m pretty sold, just doing the max research possible before I make a big purchase, looking for problems with it. Like I know some old super snakes had chassis issues, not trying to spend the money and have a problem later.

@Whitney
You are absolutely not doing max research. You’re just looking for confirmation bias.

@Whitney
Did you see this: it’s better than the Whipple you would get and it’s a team effort with Whipple and VMP to create a masterpiece: Shopping

@Whitney
I run a big transmission cooler on my 10r80 and track it regularly. Never had an issue. I run 295 tires square. Ford performance swaybars, MCS shocks. My car is bone stock, stock motor and trans.

@Abel
Even the Dark Horse with all of its cooling still overheats the A10 on the track

For 24K??? LMAO, your dealer is laughing at you. You can make it way better for that price by doing your own research into upgrades. Even if you added 10K in mods, it would make it better. Let alone 24K, Jesus…

@Brier
I agree with you, but some people just don’t want to do research, work, or custom tuning to get a nice(er) and faster car. They just want to buy it and have it done, and they have the money for it lol. I assume the warranty stays intact since the dealer is doing the work, which is important to some owners. But 24K is insane lol. I wish I had that much money just laying around to upgrade a 2024 GT.

@Aza
True, but also, where is the other 14K going? Lmao

@Brier
I have, I mean it comes with a whipple, it’s a spec 3. The full package is usually 30K
