Is the Mustang really that slow? Let's talk about this engineering marvel

I’ve been hearing mixed opinions about the Mustang’s performance compared to other cars. What do you all think about it? Also, share your thoughts on other cars that you consider engineering marvels.

Love the color! Mustangs always look sharp no matter what.

When you compare it to something lighter, yeah, the Mustang can feel like a truck. Still a beast in its own way.

Glad to see there’s more than just me here with the Mustang/Miata combo. Only pic I have of both together but yeah. NB is my daily. Also let me get that hardtop c:

This setup is everywhere, but I get why. Those wheels look amazing on the Stang.

Thanks! They’re staggered PP2 reps from LMR. Sadly, they don’t have the bronze ones anymore.

The way to go haha

@Arun
Man, I still regret selling my ITR. Easily one of the biggest mistakes I made.

You can always grab a GSR. Pretty close performance-wise (b18c1 vs b18c5). That’s what I’ve got, just added an ITR wing to mine.

I hear ya. Minus the slow Mustang part.

@Nile
Is that a GT convertible? I can’t afford a GT yet, but I’ve got a 2021 Race Red EcoBoost convertible. Also, shoutout to the Honda S2000—it’s another awesome car.

Yeah, it’s a GT. Got it brand new back in 2018.

Both cars were made by Mazda, technically.

Are you saying that because Ford had a stake in Mazda? That happened in 1995, and by then the NA Miata was already out.

The NA Miata wasn’t influenced by Ford. The NC was, though, since that was during the Ford-Mazda era.

It’s crazy how much bigger cars are now! Even comparing the current Mustang to the first-gen model, the difference is massive.

The car on the right—I don’t even see where you’d put your golf clubs on that thing!

I’ve been thinking about getting a Miata to go with my muscle car. Seems like the perfect pair. Which car do you find yourself driving more often, and why?
