GT Gas Mileage Check-In

I’m getting about 23.6 mpg at the moment. How’s everyone else doing?

16 mpg.

I’m averaging 17 mpg. I drive around 60 miles total, 3-4 days a week, with a mix of relaxed and spirited driving. 24 GT, mix of back roads, highways, and interstate.

2024 GT, 6-speed manual. Getting 20 mpg.

It’s hard to say since everyone drives so differently. If you’re going full stop-and-go at every light with a V8, you’re probably down to 6 mpg. But highway driving can get you much higher. My EcoBoost does around 15 mpg if I’m really pushing it, but 35-40 on the highway.

@Nuri
I’m boosted on E85 in SoCal, so it’s mostly stop-and-go traffic here. I’ve never seen less than 12 mpg, though. Where’s this 6 mpg coming from? Are you flooring it in neutral? :joy:

I don’t have a V8 Mustang, just talking about my experience with other V8s I’ve owned and what I’ve seen here on the forum.

@Nuri
You’d have to drive pretty wild to get 6 mpg on a stock or modified V8. 15 city and 20+ highway is a more realistic estimate.

I was thinking of people who go full throttle every chance they get, not just regular ‘stop and go.’

@Nuri
Doing that at every light would be insane. But you’re right, I’m sure people do it.

2016 GT Performance Pack. After slow-poking around in my Bronco, I need a fix—16 to 19 mpg.

I get around 14 mpg, but it’s all city driving.

12-15 liters per 100 km, so around 15-19 mpg.

2015 GT Auto, using 93 octane. I’m seeing 23.5 to 25.5 mpg, depending on how much I push it. Currently at 24 mpg.

Why get a sports car if you’re worried about gas mileage? It’s like soccer moms comparing minivan horsepower.

Oh, my bad, I meant to ask—how many miles per gallon does your people-hauler get?

@Jaden
Definitely more than my fun car… but my nice car cures depression.

Haven’t checked in a while, but last time I was at 14 mpg in mixed stop-and-go traffic. It’s a 1998 Mustang GT auto with a supercharger (10 psi boost), 3800 stall torque converter, and 3.73 gears. On a steady 65 mph cruise, I get about 24 mpg.

7!
