Good price for a 2024 Premium ER RWD?

Update:

Sheehy Ford of Gaithersburg, MD tried to bait-and-switch me with an extra $1,899 in freight charges. Kept pushing me to come in before telling me the real numbers. Instead, I’m buying from Koons in Sterling for the original price I wanted. All paperwork is done—picking up my car in the morning!

Thanks for the help, everyone!

Looking for a 2024 Premium ER RWD in the Mid-Atlantic area, mainly for better efficiency during MD winters.

Here’s what I’m looking at:

  • Premium RWD ER
  • Star White
  • 91kWh battery
  • Panoramic Roof
  • Mobile Power Cord

Pricing Breakdown:

  • Retail Price: $52,205
  • Discount: $6,446
  • Rebates: $2,500
  • Net Selling Price: $43,259

Fees & Taxes:

  • Processing Fee: $800
  • License/Title: $235
  • Lien Fee: $20
  • CVR Fee: $20
  • Additional Fees: $24
  • Total Fees: $1,099
  • Taxes: $2,775

Out-the-Door Price: $47,133

I can knock off another $1k by skipping the charger, which I’ll probably do. There’s also a blue one at a similar price and another white one (no moonroof) that’s about $1,000 less.

Ideally, I’d like to get to $41.5k but not sure they’ll go that low. What do you guys think—is this already a good deal?

Discount: $6,446
If that’s a dealer discount and not a rebate or tax incentive, that’s an awesome deal. I wouldn’t expect them to budge any further.

It’s not fully broken down—I just know the difference between the Discount and Rebate totals.

$2,500 rebate is part of the renewed cash offer from January to March.

I bought this exact car on 12/2/2024 for $39,500 before taxes in the Nashville, TN area.

$39,500 with the $2,500 rebate and skipping the pro charger?

Yeah, there were a lot of ‘rebates’ in my deal, but I did skip the charger for the extra $1,000 off.

@Zaren
Got it. So my deal is about $2,500 higher than yours, assuming all else is equal. Do you think your rebates made up the difference?

Seems like a solid deal. I wouldn’t skip the charger unless you already have one—having an EV without home charging kinda defeats the purpose.

I’m planning to self-install and go with an Emporia Level 2 charger ($399). My run from the breaker panel is only about 15 feet.

@Edmund
Good call. We’ve had the Emporia Level 2 for two years—it’s been rock solid, even with three EVs in the household.

Just wanted to update the thread—I edited my original post with the latest info.

Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg initially agreed to match my price, but at the last minute, they tried to sneak in $1,899 in freight fees. Ended up walking and going with Koons in Sterling at the original price Sheehy claimed they could match.

All set to pick up my car tomorrow!
