Here’s a photo series I created for the GT Garage featuring the new Ford GT MK IV. This model is a track-only variant, with just 67 units produced by Ford and Multimatic.
The GT Garage collaborated with Camilo Pardo, the designer of the Ford GT from 2005-2006, to reimagine the car’s livery as a bespoke “signature series,” and the result is nothing short of incredible.
When I first spotted it in the garage, I mistook it for a McLaren! Upon closer inspection, I noticed the evolution from the MK II. Seeing it up close is truly awe-inspiring. Performance enthusiasts, you’re in for a treat!
*Technical Details: Captured with a Sony FX3 camera paired with a GM II 24-70mm 2.8 lens. All images are owned by me and the GT Garage. Thank you!
@Andre
Absolutely! The whole look is futuristic, but I’m not a fan of the round tail lights. They’ve been on the GT forever, but it doesn’t match the rest of the car’s modern vibe. Imagine if the tail lights were like ‘TRON’ too?
@Bryce
Right, it’s design is telling you that it’s built for speed and to win. When a Ford GT pulls up, Ferrari owners sweat. The tail lights have the LED glow like the head lights in their glow. The TRON look is definitely a fresh feature, I love to see American performance dominate on the international stage and look good doing it.
Haha, this is actually at Camilo Pardo’s design studio in Detroit. He was the lead designer for the '05-'06 GTs, and it’s always amazing seeing these cars up close. He even has a green ‘67 Mustang Fastback like Steve McQueen’s. Total legend.
