Bought a Mustang EcoBoost but kinda wish I went for a GT?

Just bought a 2024 Mustang EcoBoost… it’s awesome, but I’m already thinking about trading up for a GT. Dealer said it’d be around 6K more, so I’m just gonna stick with the EcoBoost for now. Really cool car, but I can’t shake the feeling I’d be happier with the GT.

Don’t keep upgrading just to upgrade… you got the EcoBoost, and now want a GT. You’ll get a GT, and then want the GT500 or Dark Horse. After that, you’ll look at the C8 Z06. It’s a cycle. Just enjoy what you have!

Haha, true enough.

Might as well aim for a custom Eleanor build next at this rate!

Totally get it! Just boosted my HP by 50% recently and now I’m already wondering how to get even more power. I rocked my EcoBoost happily for years, man… stay thrifty and fast.

I’ve got an EcoBoost too and love it! It’s my daily driver, good on gas, and still has some speed. I’ll get a GT someday too, but going with the EcoBoost made sense for now.

Why worry if it’s not a GT? People always make you feel like you should’ve gone for the GT. It’s YOUR car, and if you like it, own that! If not, save the 6K and get the GT later. But for now, enjoy what you’ve got and drive safe.

@Macon
EcoBoosts are sweet cars too.

I originally went in to get an EcoBoost, but after test-driving a GT, I was sold. It’s all about what feels right.

That’s some top-notch salesmanship right there!

Honestly, I think it’s worth the 6K if you can swing it.

Yeah, 6K isn’t that crazy for an upgrade like that.

Agreed!

Who cares about the GT? The EcoBoost is a blast to drive, especially in city traffic and tight turns. Only people with something to prove trash other people’s rides.

Exactly.

6K is a good deal to go from EcoBoost to GT… just saying.

Enjoy your car now, upgrade later.

Hey, you’re driving a Mustang! That’s pretty awesome in itself.

Most Mustang upgrades to a GT cost 10K, so 6K isn’t bad at all, especially if you’re not losing any features.

I love my EcoBoost and am actually looking to get another one just for daily driving alongside my track car.
