Best Coilovers?

Ohlins or cortex for budget options

Ohlins or cortex for budget options. If you have the money, then MCS. I run MCS 2 ways on my s550.

MCS all the way. I run grid life time attack in my s197. 8.5 years on my mcs singles, no issues just sent them back for service for this season! They are comfy even in my hardcore track car which always surprises folks when riding along. People are used to dog shit suspension. The MCS folks are also cook we have partied with them at Road Atlanta a lot.

@Xian
You’re not buying parts. You’re buying an experience backed by experience. MCS dynos every single shock that leaves their shop. They will even come do shock tuning days with you. The customer support and service is unmatched. I’ll never own a track car without them again.

FYI bilstein lowering springs and koni yellows will perform better than all of the budget coilovers on the market.

What front lip is that?

I went with Steeda springs and Ford performance shocks. They were part of the Steeda “stop the hop” kit. Love the setup. It doesn’t have ride height adjustability, so if that is a deal breaker, look elsewhere. However, I cannot speak highly enough of the kit.

Why do you think you need coilovers?

I want to have the ride height adjustability to clean up my fitment and have it tight. I actually do runs in Mexico so being able to stiffen or soften my suspension would be great.

@Teal

runs in mexico
So you don’t need any real performance parts. Buy whatever coilovers are cheap then get good tires. If you want to beat a cammed mopar then get e85, a diff, the 10 speed, and remove the rear seat.

S650 Looks sick in black, just saw it the first time in person today.
